I am delighted with this window curtain. It is simply beautiful and a real gem at the window. It`s not just a printed piece of fabric, it`s really artistic and handmade. The colors are vibrant. The background is a dark purple with mainly red and pink motifs. The curtain darkens well and bathes the daylight in a slightly red tone, very cozy. After unpacking, the fabric smelled slightly, but not as strongly as other fabrics from India. Nevertheless, you should definitely wash it well before use. You can tell that it has been treated as it is also slightly greasy. The fabric stains a lot when washed, so only wash it separately and not together with other laundry! I washed the curtain twice in a row at 30° degrees and the smell was gone and the fabric felt good. However, I avoided putting the curtain in the dryer. In my experience with Indian fabrics, they shrink a lot in the dryer. My tip is to hang the curtain on the curtain rail as soon as it comes out of the washing machine! I look forward to this pretty curtain every evening and am already thinking about getting more. A one-off, wonderful.
